Eminem's Relapse - Review Written by Shane K.

It's been long awaited for Eminem to drop yet another album, "Relapse". Despite it's predeccesor "Encore" having fallen short to fans expectations, Eminem tries yet again to reclaim his hip hop status. Unlike his previous albums, Eminem tip-toes between a fine line of Marshall Mathers / and Slim Shady, giving listeners the best of both ego's.

Eminem doesn't stray too far from his usual self; already making himself a new enemy in Nick Cannon. And as usual, Eminem takes names and asks questions later. To those that were dissapointed in "Encore", you will be pleasantly surprised with "Relapse". With songs such as "Bagpipes in Baghdad", "Insane", and "Deja' Vu"; this album is hard not to like. The only flaw I found in this album, was the new style of voice Eminem has been using. In songs like "We Made You", and "3am"; it was hard to even let the tracks finish without skipping to the next one. Eminem also sticks with being solo, only having two guest appearances of Dr.Dre, and 50 Cent.

This album is a very personal one at that. Talking about his struggles with substance abuse, and giving you a good insight of how chaotic his life was in the song, "Deja' Vu". While at the same time maintaining his "I don't give a F**k" attitude. His lyrics are still there, but he's a different Eminem. A more balanced, and more mature Eminem in my opinon. It is an enjoyable album, and I reccommend that you check it out.

The album is in stores now -- I give it a 7/10.
