A scam artist has been taking money for bookings of Rap artists including Drake.

Cortez Bryant's company Cortez's Management handles mangerial duties for Drake and an internet imposter has recieved money for the artist.

The Chambers Group, who control press for Cortez, stated to AllHipHop.com, " It has come to light that an individual has been impersonating Brynat Management CEO Cortez Bryant for financial gain through false bookings of his clients, specifically the much buzzed about recording artist Drake.

"The imposter has created bogus twitter (such as twitter.com/Tezpoe) and email accounts (such as This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) in Bryant's name which he then utilizes to secure and pocket deposits for false bookings and club appearences. Bryant Management, who counts rap powerhouse Lil Wayne among their clientele and was recently celebrated for their record breaking summer tour America's Most Wanted Music Festival, is fully cooperating with the investigation and confident that the individual will be apprehended in a timely manner."

Drake is booked only through Literary Agency and ICM Talent.

This isn't the first incident, only last month Jesse Manuel Munoz was arrested for a similar booking scheme for Pitbull as well as scamming victims out of $500,000 in real estate cons. Moreover in 2005, Scott Elkins was sentenced to 45 days in jail for booking fake performances for Lil Jon and Lil Flip.
