50 Cent's Cheetah Vision Films company has signed a deal with the Georgia based production company, Action Jackson Films, to produce and finance three to five movies per year.
Cheetah Vision's first film under new investor Richard Jackson is The Gun, which stars and was written by 50 Cent himself.
50 told
Variety, "When you write a song, you need to say it in three minutes or it is overkill, but I like creating stories and going in depth with characters."
The film about underground gun dealing, that also stars Val Kilmer, will begin filming next month in Grand Rapids, Michigan with Jesse Terro's direction.
The film is the first of three projects that the G-Unit member has already penned.
The multi-talented rapper'sĀ debut as a director, Before I Self Destruct, was released today, including an album of the same title.
Cheetah Vision's next feature is the drama featuring the Academy Award winning actor Forest Whitaker inĀ Jekyll and Hyde.
