Big L's life will be told in a new documentary called Street Struck: The Big L Story. The Dangerzone Films produced Street Struck chronicles the emcee's story that was cut short when he was shot to death in 1999.
The documentary features views from friends, family and artists such as DJ Premier, to give an insight into the man behind the music. Their is background on the gifted wordsmith's ascent in hip hop and involvement in the collectives, Children of Da Corn and Diggin' In The Crates.
Extremely rare footage featured in the documentary includes a live performance with the late Big Pun. Their is also an interview with the two on the set of Fat Joe's
'John Blaze' video shoot.
Also in relation to Big L, whose murder remains unsolved, a murial of him will be re-done. The artwork on 140th street of Harlem will be touched up so that it can withstand the weather.
There is no release date set for Street Struck: The Big L Story but sources suggest that it shall be released this coming February to mark the 11th anniversary of his death.
